Controlling Bird Controls in open spaces can be difficult, expensive and time consuming. The AviHaze nozzles have been generating bird deterrent haze since 1999. FogForce, the hazing agent used in the AviHaze, is thoroughly tested and is an environmentally safe way to expel nuisance birds from open spaces.
The AviHaze system is non-lethal; controlling birds via behavior modification; AviHaze sweeps birds from the treated area without impacting the use or operation of the facility.
The AviHaze system is easy to install and will not impede operation or limit the use of the facility when operating. The system works by inhalation and irritation of the respiratory system specifically the bird’s trigeminal nerve in the mucous membrane without harm to the birds, other animals, or people's health. Fog Force is 5 to 8 more times effective on birds in flight, the impact of the haze on a stationery birds will likely take more time to move the birds away from the area following several exposures to the Fog Force haze while in flight.
The approach is therefore to expose the birds in flight. This approach makes the placement of the AviHaze system nozzles important to a target sites eventual success in reducing the bird presence.
Nozzles are best placed upwind and above the target area, to release the haze into the flight path of the birds. The birds will learn the Fog Force is in the area and leave to find a more hospitable spot.
Installation is easy, requiring no special skills, the AviHaze system consists of:
- Compressed Air Source, usually the installation of an Air Compressor
- Control and Timing Unit
- One or more AviHaze Modules
- Air Line from the from the compressor and control unit to the modules

The AviHaze system is modular, the components are easily placed where you need them,
often the compressor is hundreds of feet away in an equipment enclosure. A small building might use one AviHaze Module, large industrial plants or public attractions could place dozens of modules. |

The nozzle installed on each AviHaze module has been in use for over 10 years, creating the small 5 micron-sized droplet required to provide the best deterrence influence. Dosage is easy to manage by controlling the haze emission time and dwell time before the next emission.
Some FogForce delivery systems can cause a buildup of fluid on the ground below or near the nozzle. The AviHaze system's Nozzle and FogForce fluid delivery system does away with these drips or product droplets. The AviHaze system will leave no droplets or residue under or around the facility where it is deterring birds.
